Premise of Tenants Association at Creekside Suites in Kingston

There are certain benefits to a tenant’s association. The first being that it is a collective voice. An association provides an opportunity for tenants to gather and discuss current issues that are, or have the potential to become, a liability, problem, or other concerns for tenants. It also is an opportunity to refine the issues and discuss whether or not an issue actually exists. On the other hand, it is a collective collaboration to celebrate the positive aspects of current living conditions and to arrange events and gatherings around that. Both are equally important.

Having said that, Creekside Suites is a new complex located in Bayridge East, 847 Development Drive, Kingston, Ontario and currently has no tenant’s association. It is my opinion that it might be an asset to set the foundation for one. I would certainly be willing, at least in the interim, to set up and spearhead such an association.

As a result of the development being in its early stages, there seem to be many potentially wonderful things happening and some other things that are having an immediate impact on our daily lives. Some of these include, but are not limited to, parking, locks on the building, balconies, air conditioning units, defects within our units, etc. Of course some of these issues are more pressing than others.

In conclusion, it might be an idea for a get-together over coffee and snacks to discuss this.

The first Tenant’s Meeting is planned for Monday, October 25th at 7 PM in unit 507.
